1) Maps
from Moroccan state
Find a scanned
map of the Jebel Toubkal area (1:50.000):
Please buy these
and other maps (1:50.000, 1:100.000 and higher) at:
Division
de la Carte
31,
Avenue Moulay Hassan
Rabat
or
2) Russian/american
military maps
There are russian maps in
small and medium scale,
but they may not be very
actual and of course you have to read kyrillic…
The Americans have their
tactical pilot charts, which are
said to be of lower accuracy
than the Russian ones.
Find both at http://www.omnimap.com/catalog/int/morocco.htm
or www.daerr.de.
3) Other sources
Michelin maps are told to be
not available, but you may try.
Perhaps there are French IGN
maps, which are told to be good?
For satellite pictures you
may use www.ttqv.de and a satellite map
(a bit expensive for just a
look) or just ask me: peter@bikeadventure.de.
There
is also a german book for hiking tours described on my homepage
(author:
Thomas v. Clarmann).
For
cycling i used a 1:1.000.000 map delivered whith a guide book (Baedecker),
which was fine
(except
on the offroad part between the Dades and Todra gorges), see my pages.
Do
you have additional experience? Please tell me, so that I can share the info to
the public.
Thanx!
